“Advertise Here.”

Recently I had a TIA.
It was not something I expected, and it stopped me cold. Five days in hospital gives a person time to think, whether they want to or not. Time feels different when your body suddenly reminds you that nothing is guaranteed. I am recovering. Slowly. Some days are clearer than others. There is still some fog, my attention span is shorter, and I am learning to be patient with that. Patience has never been my strongest artistic tool, but it may be becoming one.
Photography has always been my way of paying attention. To quiet places. To buildings standing alone. To small odd scenes that other people might pass without noticing. After something like this, that kind of attention feels less like a habit and more like gratitude.
I do not know yet how this experience will change the work. Maybe the photographs will become quieter. Maybe sharper. Maybe I will simply trust my own eye a little more and stop waiting for permission to make the work I need to make.

For now, I am here. I am recovering. I am looking.
And the camera is still part of the way forward.
